Where to get Support as a Newly Qualified Gaelic Teacher

Where to get support

Your local authority will provide you with a range of support during your probationary period. There are also a range of organisations offering support and advice to newly qualified teachers including the GTCS.

There is also support that has been developed specifically for Newly Qualified Gaelic Teachers.

This year's Newly Qualified Teachers Conference will take place on Tuesday 17th November 2015 at The Albany in Glasgow.

The programme will include a mixture of talks and workshops focusing on subjects such as: developing strong Gaelic language skills amongst pupils, support from the Gaelic community, bilingualism & additional support needs. Representatives from Education Scotland, SQA & Bilingualism Matters will be invited to speak.

Bòrd na Gàidhlig will cover, the conference costs and travel and accommodation expenses.
