BA Primary Education
This is a 4-year degree programme which aims to prepare students to make a difference in schools and communities in which they work, upon graduating. All students studying on the programme are part of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and undertake a common programme in Year 1, choosing three subjects from across the Faculty catalogue. Primary Education students study Education together with two other subjects. At the end of Year 1 those who want to continue on the BA Primary Education programme go through a selection process.
The University of Strathclyde has traditionally been involved in the delivery of Gaelic-medium teacher education and this programme allows students the opportunity to access professional study about Gaelic-medium education and school placements within a Gaelic-medium setting whilst participating in the BA Primary Education programme.
